Short Description of Recipient Organization:
e Delta Arts Alliance is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, founded in 1999 and incorporated in 2003 with a vision to connect people of all ages in the Delta through the arts by providing access to educational and hands-on arts experiences. The mission of Delta Arts Alliance is: 1. To serve as a bridge to connect all people through their contributions to the arts, 2. To create common vision in the community that places value on the arts, and 3. To develop strategies for making the arts a more prominent part of daily life in the Delta. Delta Arts Alliance has a two-fold purpose: to promote the arts and art education by working closely with residents, schools, community organizations, businesses, and faith-based organizations, thereby promoting positive change in the Delta, and to provide Arts at the Ellis, a center for learning and enjoying the visual and performing arts: painting, sculpture, dance, music, poetry, storytelling, folk art traditions and crafts, etc...
