Trex Enterprises was orginally owned by Duncan Hunter's brother, Robert. At the time it was Western Research Corporation. WRC was sold to ThermoElectron (basically a holding company) in the late 80's when Robert was nominated by Reagan to serve as a Director at the Department of Energy. In 2000 Trex was sold to company management and is now privately owned. Don't know if Robert has any ties to Trex at this time but it would be interesting to find out. Since 2000 Trex has has garnered many millions of dollars in federal contracts.
