Sion Power claims the battery they are trying to develop will be able to power electric vehicles better than the current batteries. It has additional uses as well in cell phones, laptops, and unmanned vehicles.

Seems like a decent investment of 2 million bucks.

Sion Power is not publicly owned. They used the lobbying firm Albertine Enterprises (James Albertine) specifically to lobby for the money for this research. James has been through the revolving door. He was a legislative aide to Raymond F. Lederer, who (according to Wikipedia & http://politicalgraveyard.com) was convicted of bribery, fined $20,000 and sentenced to 3 years in prison as part of the Abscam sting in which FBI agents impersonated sheiks offering bribes for political favors. According to his own website (http://www.albertine.com/jja.htm) James Albertine was also on the staff of Rep Andrew Maguire, a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
